DIS Unplugged Podcast – 02/26/14 – Universal Show

| February 26, 2014

In this episode of the Universal Edition, we talk about the Mardi Gras celebration with special guest, Corey Martin, that takes place in Universal Studios Florida every year. The party starts as you enter the park and see decorations and performers lining the streets. Make your way back to the French Quarter Marketplace for music, specialty drinks and New Orleans food like Andouille Sausage, Shrimp Gumbo, Jambalaya, Beignets and King Cake. The Mardi Gras parade kicks off in Hollywood featuring real Mardi Gras floats. This year the theme is “Around the World in 80 Days”. The night ends with a concert by a popular performing artist, unless you take the party to CityWalk and the New Orleans bars Pat O’Briens and Fat Tuesdays! Want to get in touch? I like the new Universal show. I go to Disney about every two years and am thinking I will do Universal instead next time. I wish show was a little longer. Can you go over all the rides and general overview of the parks? Not just Harry Potter or special events but I kind of how to ge the most out of you trip and all the things Universal Offers.

Hey ye of the new Universal version of the DIS! Wanted to give my props on the content and entertainment value of the program. Brief Bio of myself on the boards (and beyond)…. I have been a Disney lifer since birth (1974ish) and have seen and experienced many, if not all, of the changes at WDW. I have been a devoted listener to the DIS podcast since about 2009, which coincided with my reborn passion of Disney along with the birth of my first child. Along the way I have been WDW AP members for several years, loving the experience along the way. UNTIL NOW. I think this topic could spurn an interesting debate on which AP (US or WDW) is a better value right now. **As a footnote I experiienced DLR for the 1st time last year, which Drastically affected my perspective towards the WDW thing: but from what I gathered from the videos of u guys from DLR, I think you would agree** …Anyways, the task at hand is to discover an approach to the UniverSal sector of your listening audience . I have some good ideas I’d like to include myself in along your platform. My email is robski305@gmail.com with the BoneDaddy avatar/username…+along with Cory, I also have experienced the “real”Mardi Gras. The thing is, I can’t remember a f***kin thing about it>>>>
