I have traveled to WDW on my own twice now. I have had a few odd reactions from people at home about ‘why would I want to’ travel alone and how ‘dangerous’ it is. First off, if no one I know wants to go on vacation to WDW, I am going on my own! Secondly, after having traveled to WDW solo twice – getting the bus to and from work here in a big city feels more dangerous than vacation at Disneyworld. I also have to deal with scary homeless people on the street near my office (sometimes really scary). I have yet to deal with anyone at WDW who has scared me, although the Wicked Witch did try.
I think women should have the right to travel, where they want to, when they want to and even though we may not be as safe while we were traveling, if we don’t, things will never change.
