SeaWorld Orlando recently announced the birth of a bottlenose dolphin. The new calf was born on Tuesday, July 26th at 9:36am. The newborn dolphin weighs 35 pounds, and is 40 inches long. The sex of the calf will be determined at a later date. Visitors to SeaWorld can view the mother and calf at the Dolphin Nursery in the theme park. Continue after the break for even more photos provided by SeaWorld.
The Dolphin Nursery, where the mother and calf are currently housed, allows the necessary bonding period to occur as well as acclimates the new animal to other dolphin mothers.
