“The ship is ready for prime time!” exclaimed Walt Disney Imagineer Frank de Heer, VP of New Ship Development.  Large-scale construction on the Disney Dream is finished, and the shipbuilders move onto the final finishing phase of the ship before it sails to the United States.  Thousands of spectators and media, including friends of the DIS Unplugged Emiel and Yvette van Leeuwen, were on hand at the Meyer Werft shipyard to document the float out, and Disney recently released a video of the celebration.  The media blitz to hype the new ship has officially begun, with a segment aired by ABC’s Good Morning America this morning.  Continue after the break to watch both new videos.  Update 11/8/10: Disney’s ride-through video of the AquaDuck water coaster added.

Update 11/8/10: Disney released this “ride-through” video of the AquaDuck water coaster.  The attraction stretches 765 feet, drops over 4 decks, and swings out 13 feet over the side of the ship providing an unobstructed view 150 straight down to the ocean below.

Dave, you make it so easy to keep track of such things. Now if you only and/or the DIS Unplugged (I’m not picky) can guarantee I win one of those GMA trips on the Disney Dream.
