Once again, Dave, a very nice blog entry. Obviously, I am a little biased about this one though.
As far as RFTT, I really liked the shorter races (like the previous person mentioned). If I am at WDW on vacation, I am more likely to do a 5K or a 10K and include my family in the event. With half marathons, more time must be given to the event and you have less time to spend with your family and in the park.
The food after the event was very well done. I loved the Beef Empanadas. They were very tasty.

I'm glad that I had the opportunity to participate in the final Race for the Taste. I have run it the last four years and will miss it next year. It was good to see more runners entered this year. Even though I love Marathons and Halfs, I hope that Disney will bring back or create more shorter races.

Update: The Disney Endurance Series team announced the new race replacing the Race For The Taste in 2010 will be the "Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon" on October 2, 2010. This will be a night time half marathon run on what's described as a "brand new course". New for a Disney half marathon is a two-person relay option. Also included with race registration will be an after-hours experience at the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. Finally, Mickey's Halloween Family Fun Run 5K will also be a part of the weekend.
