My son, husband and I decided to treat ourselves to one expensive meal and choose the Coral Reef based on a Disney employees recommendation. How disappointing! A heat wave was happening outside so we were dressed very lightly but the restaurant was over airconditioned so we shivered through the meal. Our waiter was snotty and had better things to do than serve us. Our ceasar salad was great but I had to ask myself "Self, how hard is it to make a salad?". The answer is obvious. We chose the steak with potatoes and asparagus and neither of us could eat it due to the saltiness of the meat. Undercooked, very tough and over salted left us with empty bellies, an empty wallet and a hunger for pizza at 10pm at night!

We were there for lunch in May 2008 and we (husband and I, son and duaghter-in-law and 2 grandsons ages 8 and 4) were extremely disappointed in the selection of food, the quality of the food and felt that the prices were WAY out of line. Service was good and the ambience was good but the food was definitely below other Disney restaurants.

We were also a bit disappointed.
selection from menu was OK, not much for the young adult, teenager.
price we paid for 5 people was extremely expensive. We all agreed the desserts were great. We all had an appitizer, entree, desset.
Portions too small and $$ to high.
Service was great, polite and friendly, I would expect nothing less from Disney.

My family and I ate at this restaurant years ago and really enjoyed the experience. We went back on March 12th and were extremely disappointed. The wait staff were very nice, but the food was terrible. My wife ordered the grouper and it was half cooked. I agree this restaurant should be a destination, but instead is a complete ripoff.
